SPOT

Terms of Service

Effective date: October 14, 2026

SPOT is a professional discussion community, not a substitute for individualized clinical judgment, medical advice, supervision, or emergency services.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing SPOT, you agree to these Terms. SPOT is intended for adults who participate in or are interested in speech-language pathology, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. Do not use SPOT if you are not permitted to enter into these Terms.

2. Accounts

Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and take responsibility for activity under your account. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your professional qualifications.

3. Professional discussions

Content shared by community members reflects their own views and experiences. SPOT does not verify all posts or endorse particular clinical recommendations. Evaluate information independently and comply with professional standards, licensing requirements, employer policies, and applicable law.

4. Patient confidentiality

Do not share patient-identifying information, protected health information (PHI), confidential records, or identifiable patient photos. De-identify examples carefully. Obtain all permissions required before sharing any material, and do not assume a post is private.

5. Community conduct

Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, defame, spam, impersonate, or exploit others; upload unlawful or infringing content; attempt to access accounts or data without permission; or use SPOT to facilitate harmful or illegal activity. We may remove content or restrict accounts to protect the community and comply with legal obligations.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create. By submitting it to SPOT, you grant SPOT a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the service, subject to your privacy settings and applicable law. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and SPOT may occasionally be unavailable. We may revise these Terms by publishing an updated version.

8. Account termination

You may delete your account using the in-app deletion process. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations of these Terms or to address safety and legal concerns.

9. Disclaimer and liability

SPOT is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SPOT disclaims warranties not expressly provided and is not responsible for clinical decisions made based on community content. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
